As Convergence 2013 is getting ready to kicking off, you want to make sure that you are fully prepared for the four day event. With the opportunity to visit many exhibits, network with peers, and attend information sessions, it can be difficult to juggle it all in such a short amount of time. We’ve gathered five great tips so you can make the most out of this year’s Convergence event:
1. Plan your schedule in advance
As you can see from the agenda on the Convergence website, there are many events and expos to choose from. Make sure you understand your goals and plan your schedule accordingly so you know exactly where you want to be throughout the day. Convergence Schedule Builder is available for you to pick the sessions that might be of interest to you.
2. Network and collaborate with the community
If you have any questions for Microsoft, this is your opportunity to get answers. We suggest that you have a list of questions prepared so you are ready to ask them at any time. This is also your chance to network with the dynamics community. Be sure to stock plenty of business cards to give out while speaking with peers.
3. Experience the latest solution innovations
Microsoft is bringing many new practices to this year’s Convergence. We recommend that you get familiar with all the new resources and see how you can take advantage. New resources in 2013 include enhanced mobile experience, new Microsoft technology experience, and reinvented networking.
4. Have a team meeting to discuss your goals
As a business, it is important that your team knows exactly what goals you are trying to achieve. Sit down with your team and go through your game plan before the event. At WatServ, our team is actively collaborating with each other to accomplish our goals for attending Convergence.
5. Use Twitter to stay connected
Twitter is a great way to stay connected with the events that are happening throughout the day. The official Convergence twitter account is @MSFTConvergence (also @CDNCONV13 page for Canadians eh?). Connect with us at @WatServLtd for our tweets on our Convergence experience and blogs.
WatServ will be very active throughout Convergence 2013. We are a bronze sponsor at booth #2531; you can see our exact location here. We will also be doing plenty of live tweeting featuring people we meet, cool exhibits, and daily recap blogs (Connect with us at @WatServLtd). We are excited to see everyone there.
