The Position

WatServ is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect within Canada. The Cloud Solutions Architect drives customer initiatives in collaboration with customers and participates in both pre and post-sales (e.g., design, deployment) efforts. The Cloud Solutions Architect is a technical, customer facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience.

In this role you will be the owner of technical customer engagements including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or proofs of concept and deployment. The ideal candidate has experience in customer facing roles and can successfully lead deep technical architecture and application design discussions with senior customer executives to drive cloud deployment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enable customers to realize desired outcomes through cloud platforms from Microsoft and Google in solution areas of modern workplace and infrastructure & application projects and advisory services
  • Create and deliver key collateral within client engagements that identify, design, and implement techno logy and creative business solutions (requirements, functional design, process design, prototyping and testing/ support procedures)
  • Support the Sales organization to qualify, sell and close cloud opportunities in areas of modern workplace and infrastructure and application opportunities, using solutions and assets and repeatable, packaged offerings wherever possible
  • Coach and mentor your colleagues by educating and knowledge sharing
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with delivery and technical teams; communicate clearly and consistently
  • Support the WatServ Engineering and Operations team by developing and building cloud services
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers and prospective customers
  • Travel to prospects and customers, new product launches and general relationship development
  • Travel to tradeshows and customer sites to assist in the promotion of the company

Experience & Education Requirements

  • 5+ years of architecture, design implementation and/or support of distributed applications designed to run in the cloud or across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
  • Experience with designing and deploying Microsoft Azure and Google GCP IaaS and PaaS platforms for identity, security, infrastructure, business continuity and data platforms
  • Experience with DevOps tooling, processes, and responsibilities to define and implement continuous integration; and define and implement a continuous delivery and release management strategy
  • Experience developing technical strategies for projects and proposals for customer presentations

The Opportunity
WatServ is seeking an experienced Database Administrator in the Southern Ontario region. Reporting to the Director of Managed Service Solutions and working with a dynamic team, you will be responsible for installation, patch, configuration, maintaining and monitoring the SQL Server to ensure each customer contract is being fulfilled. You will also be expected to trouble shoot related issues, provide database consultation to other teams and management, establish and maintain written best practices and operational procedures, and maintain database security while ensuring appropriate access to the SQL Server. The role will also include rotational 7×24 on-call schedule to monitor alerts/notifications.

Basic Qualification

  • 5 years experience
  • A strong communicator both in written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Installation, patching, and configuration of SQL Server instance with MS best practices and underlying applications
  • Setup and configuration of SQL server maintenance plans and SQL jobs • Setup SQL server critical alerts/notifications
  • Maintain database security and ensure appropriate access
  • Regular reviews of SQL Server to ensure SQL Server and its components perform the activities optimally within the underlying hardware.
  • Review and re-configure new databases and SQL agent jobs; Research on questionable issues, find, and implement solutions, report findings to relevant team, creating tickets if necessary
  • Daily SQL server operational support such as backup, restore, refresh of PreProd database, customer SQL job creation/modification/execution, backup reports, database usage reports, user creation/modification/permissions, license reports, server related objects creation such as linked servers.
  • Perform performance analysis, database upgrade, migration, and upgrade
  • Work with system and application admins to troubleshoot database related issues
  • Provide database consultation to other teams and management
  • Establish and maintain written best practices and operational procedures; follow SQL Server related new technology, learn, test, and apply to the WatServ environment appropriately
  • Monitoring of SQL Server security vulnerability and workaround/patch information and advice to ensure underlying SQL instances are running in the latest possible patch against SQL breaching

Technical Requirements

  • Support of SQL Server versions 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2016 including: Database Engine, Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Azure database, and Power BI
  • Support of SQL Server database high available strategies such as failover cluster, replication, AlwaysOn, mirroring, log shipping, and DR recovery strategies
  • SQL Server tuning using Profiler, trace, extended event, query plans, Index Tuning Wizard, Dynamic Management Views and Functions (DMVs), and other third-party tools
  • Develop SQL jobs, T-SQL stored procedures, functions, Powershell scripts, batch scripts to support internal/external processes and improve system performance
  • Thorough understanding Microsoft SQL Server database concepts, functions, features, and principles
  • Knowledge of T-SQL, Powershell scripting, SQL Server system tables, dynamic views/functions, stored procedures and functions
  • Understand Windows operating system, AD, DNS, backup/restore and storage. • Understand data-mapping and logical and physical data modeling

What You’ll Do:

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager based in Canada. Reporting to the Director, PMO you will be responsible for successfully delivering both WatServ internal and client facing projects end-to-end. The scope and complexity of your projects will impact multiple areas across the business and require you to use your expertise in cross-functional collaboration, project management methodology and continuous improvement to deliver successfully. In this role you will strive to enhance customer satisfaction, delivery times and service levels while controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for proactively managing the schedule/critical path, milestones, budgets, dependencies, risks and issues to satisfy internal and external stakeholder requirements and expectations
  • Develop and build strong relationships both the internal team and with clients that contribute to making WatServ our clients trusted and preferred partner for Professional Services
  • Facilitate and own the delivery of solutions by leading and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams from various WatServ departments

WatServ is currently seeking an experienced, Cloud Infrastructure Administrator. Reporting to the Team Lead, Infrastructure & Operations and working with a dynamic team, you’ll be responsible for deploying, managing, maintaining and monitoring server environments both internally and for customers. Maintenance and management of these environments will be critical for meeting Customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and expectations. What You’ll Do:

We are looking for an experienced Client Success Operations Administrator. Reporting to the Director, Client Success and as a member of this customer-centric professionals team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of our client systems (Microsoft D365, Gainsight) and driving efficiency of our internal tools and processes.   The ideal candidate brings experience with system administration (Microsoft Dynamics D365), strong analytical capabilities, and the passion for configuring systems and data to support our client management processes.  Experience with Gainsight implementation and roll-out is a plus.  The role will work closely and regularly with the Client Success team, Operations, Service Management, Sales, Finance, Marketing and Product Management.  

Key Responsibilities:

Client Data Management and System Administration  

  • Own the administration of Master Data Management using Dynamics 365 Common Data Services
  • Lead D365 CRM interface development and maintenance 
  • CRM Administration: maintain all CRM customer data, records and contracts, as well as knowledge of CRM process and reports and support x-functional team requests. 
  • Gainsight Administration: maintain CS platform, data and tools, as well as knowledge of Gainsight process and reports and support x-functional team requests 

Reporting, dashboards and presentations:  

  • Manage customer health metrics and related client success dashboards, at the management and executive levels, working closely with Finance  
  • Client Reporting: Develop reporting to showcase past results and renewals and upsell forecasts
  • Analysis: Track leading indicators of renewals and upsell, and analyze them to understand what’s going well and what’s not

What You’ll Do:

We are looking for an experienced Director of Cloud Sales based in Canada. Reporting to the SVP of Sales you will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing new business via project and term contracts for technology services provided by WatServ.   

The Director of Sales will focus on identifying and qualifying opportunities with new customers seeking to leverage cloud technology and associated managed services provided by WatServ.  The Director of Sales will also engage with existing WatServ Customers where opportunity exists to expand WatServ’s impact and value to its customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your established peer-to-peer relationships, business contemporaries, and industry influencer network contacts to enable efficient and effective WatServ promotion and qualified sales engagement
  • Conduct needs analysis and determine customer pain points as part of quality sales strategy and opportunity pursuit development
  • Close new opportunities for WatServ business growth including upsells, cross sells, service opportunities and referrals
  • Position WatServ enterprise business management solutions using appropriate sales approaches and techniques, including team and/or consultative presentations and identify key buying influencers to determine buying criterial, budget and timelines
  • Create and orchestrate pipeline development and target customer contact strategies and campaigns leveraging in-person interaction, electronic marketing and outbound sales communications techniques
  • Maintain effective interaction and engagement with WatServ channel partners for pipeline development and efficient/effective sales cycle progression
  • Work effectively at all levels of the WatServ organization including architects, developers, project managers and customer relationship management
  • Manage data for sales initiatives and opportunities in Dynamics CRM following a disciplined approach to pipeline forecasting, management, and reporting   
  • Work with the internal WatServ teams to develop new products and services relevant to customer and industry demands
  • Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales volumes
  • Maintain Salesforce.com CRM and ensure a strong flowing lead pipeline in order to exceed sales quota objectives

What You’ll Bring To The Role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience in the cloud service, consulting and solutions arena
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with proven ability to plan and orchestrate effective business and technical discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to articulate and present the business value of Cloud computing including current and target strategies and platform roadmaps from prominent industry cloud platform providers including Microsoft and Google
  • Competitive landscape knowledge and knowledge of enterprise Cloud (SaaS) software solutions.
  • Qualified/accredited training and/or experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with insight and view-points of hybrid/multi-cloud adoption/deployment strategies developed through direct involvement in actual customer cloud deployments
  • Experience leading large cloud deals especially those involving application portfolio modernization and migration, ERP on cloud, big compute and related technologies.
  • Understanding of partner/channel ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs
  • Proven track record employing challenger sales methodology
  • Relationship development and executive communication skills training

What You’ll Do:

We are looking for an experienced Sales Enablement Specialist based in Canada. Reporting to the SVP of Sales you will be responsible for supporting our growing sales team to achieve revenue goals. You do this by developing and evolving tools, content, processes, and sharing leading practices across the buyer journey. You will support the sales team and ensure they are successful in their day-to-day activities by working cross-departmentally to translate the customer’s business challenges into tailored solutions. You will partner with the sales team to build and execute assessments, proof of concepts, and presentations. 

Your ability to draft proposals and successfully create and submit bids will be crucial in showcasing WatServ’s capabilities to prospects. Furthermore, you will assist the Sales Team with the development of their verticals, account sales plans, and provide pursuit project management for opportunities in motion.

Your technical prowess is between a Sales Executive and a Solution Architect (e.g. Public Cloud technologies, Cloud Infrastructure, SaaS, and PaaS). You are technical enough to help Sales drive an opportunity to close but you are not responsible for architecting or configuring the solutions once they have been established. This is a unique opportunity to help define and evolve the sales enablement process from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical liaison that collaborates with sales, marketing, and services teams to create customized presentations, draft proposals, bids, assessments, and proof of concepts
  • Lead proof of concept and assessment projects to success by creating and articulating a convincing story that shows how WatServ will deliver tangible business value to our customers
  • Take your learnings from the field and use them to improve our solutions, sales processes, and collateral
  • Build credibility with clients through your technical and product expertise and a honed business acumen

  • Proven track record supporting sales efforts of a complex enterprise solutions – preferably Public Cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS), cloud infrastructure, and productivity solutions like Office 365
  • Minimum of 3 years program or project management, working cross functionally to establish priorities, build consensus, and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to create reports that provide sales insights and support decision making
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Challenger sales methodology and an understanding of the buyer journey 
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
