The Position

WatServ is seeking a Manager, Cloud and Infrastructure to lead a geographically dispersed team. The successful candidate will be required to have a broad range of knowledge and experience, as well as be a quick learner to understand and work with specialized systems and cross functional teams.

The right candidate will need to stay on top of the long-term strategy as well as the operating details of his/her organization to ensure urgent tactical issues are closed and their teams are taking steps to head off customer impacting risks and issues. Customer communication will be a key component of this role and the role will be involved in regular customer communication and involved in handling customer escalation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Managing cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP and private cloud datacenters

Role Summary:

WatServ is seeking a Client Success Director to join our team of dedicated customer-centric
professionals. The role will own a portfolio of accounts and strategically engage with clients on
topics ranging from problem resolution, solution guidance, technology planning, and future state
cloud/digital strategies. The role will be accountable to help clients maximize business value
and usage of WatServ products & services while ensuring high quality interactions and
experiences for clients. The ideal candidate brings strong client facing capabilities (10+ years),
and a mix of project management, business development, and cloud/digital transformation
capabilities. Experience and knowledge of Infrastructure, Operations, and MSFT Azure is a
plus. The candidate will bring a collaborative mindset working with internal partners to advocate
for client needs, excellent communication and relationship management skills, and a desire to
help drive continuous improvements to WatServ’s Client Success methodology. Reporting to the
VP of Client Success, the role will work regularly with the Service Delivery team, Operations,
Project Management, Sales, Marketing, Partner Management as well as the ELT on overall
account planning.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Strategic Account Governance

  • Build deep and wide relationships and develop engagement strategy for top customers
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients (in person, on the phone or virtually) to foster relationships and understand client needs 
  • Manage and lead the activities for customer onboarding, renewals, and offboarding
  • Manage regular cadence of business reviews to review achievement of outcomes, account health, key client milestones, proactively discuss risks and forecast opportunities
  • Provide trusted advice to clients on services they should retain, expand, or change to maximize business value
  • Expand revenue in accounts through cross-sell and up-sell opportunities

External Customer Advocacy

  • Proactively seek out ways to create more value for clients through increased engagement, efficiencies, and relationship building
  • Lead discovery sessions at the C-suite level, facilitate workshops that address technology solutions to meet critical business needs
  • Coordinate both formal and ad-hoc feedback mechanisms to obtain input from clients at key milestones in their journey and ensure overall client satisfaction

The Position

WatServ is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect within Canada. The Cloud Solutions Architect drives customer initiatives in collaboration with customers and participates in both pre and post-sales (e.g., design, deployment) efforts. The Cloud Solutions Architect is a technical, customer facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience.

In this role you will be the owner of technical customer engagements including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or proofs of concept and deployment. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creative development of branded communication and digital marketing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and Communications  

  • Serve as the point person for the day-to-day delivery of creative and marketing projects

  • Design and execute various digital and print materials, including web & social media assets, digital ads, brochures, product sheets, case studies, and PowerPoint presentations

The Opportunity
WatServ is seeking an experienced Database Administrator in the Southern Ontario region. Reporting to the Director of Managed Service Solutions and working with a dynamic team, you will be responsible for installation, patch, configuration, maintaining and monitoring the SQL Server to ensure each customer contract is being fulfilled. You will also be expected to trouble shoot related issues, provide database consultation to other teams and management, establish and maintain written best practices and operational procedures, and maintain database security while ensuring appropriate access to the SQL Server. The role will also include rotational 7×24 on-call schedule to monitor alerts/notifications.

Basic Qualification

  • 5 years experience
  • A strong communicator both in written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Installation, patching, and configuration of SQL Server instance with MS best practices and underlying applications
  • Setup and configuration of SQL server maintenance plans and SQL jobs • Setup SQL server critical alerts/notifications
  • Maintain database security and ensure appropriate access
  • Regular reviews of SQL Server to ensure SQL Server and its components perform the activities optimally within the underlying hardware.
  • Review and re-configure new databases and SQL agent jobs; Research on questionable issues, find, and implement solutions, report findings to relevant team, creating tickets if necessary
  • Daily SQL server operational support such as backup, restore, refresh of PreProd database, customer SQL job creation/modification/execution, backup reports, database usage reports, user creation/modification/permissions, license reports, server related objects creation such as linked servers.
  • Perform performance analysis, database upgrade, migration, and upgrade
  • Work with system and application admins to troubleshoot database related issues
  • Provide database consultation to other teams and management
  • Establish and maintain written best practices and operational procedures; follow SQL Server related new technology, learn, test, and apply to the WatServ environment appropriately
  • Monitoring of SQL Server security vulnerability and workaround/patch information and advice to ensure underlying SQL instances are running in the latest possible patch against SQL breaching

Technical Requirements

  • Support of SQL Server versions 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2016 including: Database Engine, Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Azure database, and Power BI
  • Support of SQL Server database high available strategies such as failover cluster, replication, AlwaysOn, mirroring, log shipping, and DR recovery strategies
  • SQL Server tuning using Profiler, trace, extended event, query plans, Index Tuning Wizard, Dynamic Management Views and Functions (DMVs), and other third-party tools

The Opportunity
WatServ is seeking an experienced Project Manager in the Southern Ontario region. Reporting to the Director of Service Delivery and working with a dynamic team, you will be responsible for overseeing client project management to ensure high customer satisfaction through all stages of each project.

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by focusing on customer needs first, and managing, escalating, and/or orchestrating sales and delivery success through account-aligned resources, and technical teams
  • In partnership with the Director of Service Delivery, establish a Project Management framework based on industry best practices, customized to match WatServ’s specific needs.
  • Create and maintain a document library of reusable templates for managing full project lifecycle (Scope statement, WBS, RAID Log, Weekly/Monthly Project Reports, etc.)
  • In the absence of a formal Project Management Office, define requirements and establish key PMO functions around governance, schedule management, financial management, risk/issue/scope management, resource management, quality management, and communications management

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience managing complex IT project management in an external client-facing Project Manager role
  • In-depth knowledge of project management concepts, practices and techniques (Project Management certification preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of project management life cycle, methodologies and support tools
  • Extensive experience managing infrastructure, information security, and private/public cloud projects.
  • Experience managing public cloud projects (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services) is a definite plus.
  • Proven Leadership skills, with ability to drive results while cultivating a culture of collaboration and team work
  • C-level executive presentation skills
  • A strong communicator both in written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated

The Opportunity
WatServ is currently seeking an experienced, full-time Systems Administrator in Toronto area. Reporting to the Technical Support Manager and working with a dynamic team, you’ll be responsible for deploying, managing, maintaining and monitoring server environments(virtual and physical), both internally and for customers. Maintenance and management of these environments will be critical for meeting Customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and expectations. You’ll also be involved in managing the internal systems for the company, including email, demo sites, and portals, etc. This is a great opportunity for candidates with networking administration skills and experience working with Windows Server Administration, Active Directory Administration, XenApp Administration, VMWare Administration and Public Cloud technology. Travel to local data centers may be required, and we’ll train you on all of our leading-edge technology. As a strong communicator (both written and verbal), you will also demonstrate experience with:

  • Azure deployment and management
  • Office 365 Administration
  • Change Management processes
  • Microsoft Server Operating Systems (installing, patching, monitoring, optimizing, etc)
  • Microsoft Active Directory Management
  • SQL administration (backups, restores, maintenance)
  • Exchange Administration
  • Current Hypervisor technologies (VMWare vSphere VM management, Hyper-V VM Management)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by focusing on customer needs first, and managing, escalating, and/or orchestrating sales and delivery success through account-aligned resources, and technical teams
  • Relationship manager, with a focus on smooth delivery of Managed Services operations for clients
  • Ensure that best practices for Incident, Change, and Problem Management are established, followed, and continuously improved
  • Oversee the delivery of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly deliverables such as Service Level metrics, strategic initiatives and recommendations, etc.
  • Ensure that our customer SLA’s and other contractual agreements with customers are met
  • Tracking and improving Customer Satisfaction
  • Develop and build relationships with clients to deliver holistic solutions that will increase WatServ’s share of wallet through Cloud application & infrastructure projects and advisory services
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of service delivery run smoothly
  • Provide oversight and direction to Operations team to ensure the services meet defined service level agreements.
  • Strive to consistently improve customer satisfaction, delivery times and service levels while reducing costs.
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Focus on customer needs, challenges & outcomes, leveraging industry insights & the Solutions Portfolio packaged offerings prioritized for your role.
  • In partnership with the Director of Service Delivery, establish a Service Delivery Management framework based on industry best practices, customized to match WatServ’s specific needs.
  • Create and maintain a document library of reusable templates for managing Operational Delivery (Action Register, Issues Log, Monthly Operational Report, Root Cause Analysis, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing complex IT operational delivery in an external client-facing role
  • ITIL Foundations certified
  • In-depth knowledge of IT Service Management concepts and best practices
  • Expert skills in Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Logic Monitor
  • Previous experience in Project Management is an asset
  • Extensive experience managing infrastructure and private/public cloud operations
  • Exposure to public cloud projects (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services) is a definite plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics support is a plus
  • Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform certifications a plus
