Following a ransomware attack that was discovered on December 18, 2022, SickKids called a Code Grey and worked with third parties to investigate, implement a workaround and restore systems. The ransomware group behind the attack offered a free decryptor but SickKids didn’t use it, nor did they pay the ransom.
