WatServ Facility Achieves New SSAE – 16 Type II Compliance

Waterloo Managed Software Services USA Inc (WatServ) announced today that it has achieved SSAE-16 type II compliance for its Flint, Michigan data center facilities. SSAE-16 is the 2nd generation data center audit standard that is replacing the older SAS70 which becomes obsolete this month. Greg Fischer, VP of Technology at WatServ, said “Best-in-class security & compliance is a material contract requirement for many customers. Our Flint facility is now compliant with the latest security & audit standards. SSAE-16 certification provides better alignment with international standards. In addition, our Flint facility is now operating under the new audit reporting standards called SOC 2 & SOC 3 (Service Organization Control 2 & 3).
