Microsoft released DDoS numbers from the first half of the year, reporting a 25% increase in the average daily number of attack mitigations compared to Q4 of 2020. The average attack size also increased by 30%, from 250 Gbps to 325 Gbps. The United States, Europe and East Asia remained the most attacked regions due to their concentration of financial services and gaming industries.
